Walking the walk

(I’ve never understood how one can walk the talk.)

I walked precinct 1652 today. Although it is at the extreme southwest corner of District 2, it has the distinction of being the precinct with the greatest percentage of voters who bothered to go all the way down to the bottom of the ballot and vote for Joe Judge, running unopposed in 2004, for Director of the Santa Clara Valley Water District.

People buying homes should really check out voter data when looking for neighborhoods. This is a place where people vote, and really care. You can see it in the condition of the houses.

I had good conversations with the people who were home, and left my postcards with those who weren’t. I know that weekdays aren’t the best time to reach busy working people at home, but there aren’t all that many weekends until June 3rd, let alone when the mail-in ballots come out. And more than half of the county’s voters vote by mail.
