But I like how the shriveled little things taste. The flavor of zucchini is often described as &#8220;nutty,&#8221; and these fit the bill much more than most of the preparations I&#8217;ve had.<\/p>\n<p>As Mr. Shaw did, I plan to make a pasta dish with these, probably with tomatoes from my garden. I will certainly add basil that I brought home from Veggielution almost a week ago (and which is cheerfully flowering, even stuck in a jam jar) <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3488\/3695906462_af6750b884_m.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>and maybe, as he also suggests, some mint.<\/p>\n<p>I also picked what was left of my own apricots this morning, and tomorrow we&#8217;re going back to the Los Gatos orchard to finish off what wasn&#8217;t ready last Saturday.
