It was a beautiful morning to harvest vegetables at Veggielution. When we first got there, the birds were very noisy. I think they&#8217;re not used to having anyone around when they&#8217;re trying to eat our plants.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3476\/3729466775_956fd4a945.jpg?v=0\", wdith=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I need to record the geese&#8217;s honking. It&#8217;s such a funny sound. I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s always the same peacock, but there was one up on the barn roof again, &#8220;naaaaaay-oooo&#8221;-ing away.<\/p>\n<p>Amie found a cojoined-twin zucchini:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2542\/3730266472_7cea4a141c.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>We harvested lots of tomatoes, although not as many as we expected. The tsunami of tomatoes has not yet hit.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2454\/3730269784_3e7ab1db51.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>and only a few eggplant.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2607\/3730275284_1d3f41994c.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Many curcurbits, and many were too big to use, and had to be composted.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3499\/3729474357_26ca0b4aa4.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The original plot is looking very lush.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2587\/3729472597_30e2f1e28b.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The corn has got much taller than an elephant&#8217;s eye:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2512\/3729470285_9a9683f21b.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Sunflowers are blooming.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2451\/3729475773_3b4555ca5a.jpg?v=0\",width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>And I found another plume for my hat.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3534\/3730276906_a9f4e74810.jpg?v=0\", width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>These veggies all went to Martha&#8217;s Kitchen, but Amie and I sat around and talked about the plans for the farmstand.
