Is she pregnant?<\/p>\n<p>Second, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/c\/a\/2009\/08\/19\/DD0J191JQM.DTL\">a nice article<\/a> in the <i>Chron<\/i> about &#8220;urban homesteading.&#8221; Kind of a miscellaneous assortment itself, with links to preserving, butchering, beekeeping, greywater and other classes. All of them up in SF or the East Bay, natch.<\/p>\n<p>Two recipes look yummy: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/08\/19\/dining\/191vrex.html?ref=dining\">mushrooms in lettuce cups<\/a>, from the <i>NY Times<\/i> &#8220;Temporary Vegetarian&#8221; feature, would be something to do with the head of butter lettuce I anticipate receiving tomorrow. And I&#8217;ve been roasting and freezing the green chilis for the past few weeks, so <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seriouseats.com\/recipes\/2009\/08\/potato-and-green-chile-stew-recipe.html\">Deborah Madison&#8217;s green chili and potato stew<\/a>, from Serious Eats, sounds perfect. Assuming I actually get potatoes and onions.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow evening, I&#8217;m going to Eulipia to talk to the chef about our menu for the Veggielution fundraising dinner, and ask what to do with my 20 lbs of tomatillos.
