Today I rode along the Guadalupe River trail and saw even more elder bushes, and two stands of rose hips (where I didn&#8217;t actually remember any roses in the spring.) So that tells me to go back next time with my bike bags and my clippers. And that brings to mind the avocados I gleaned this past week, which I made into guacamole today. And that brings to mind the rest of the vegetables I cooked for friends that came over tonight. But that reminds me of the <i>NY Times<\/i> story <a href=\"http:\/\/dianafoss.com\/blog\/2009\/07\/two-sides\/\">I linked to a few weeks ago<\/a>, which mainly left me with the feeling that the author thought she was cooler than the reader, and how fun is that?<\/p>\n<p>So I will mention two other things. One is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.askyourbutcher.com\/08\/22\/how-to-butcher-a-goat\/\">the goat butchery and Belgian bier event I&#8217;m going to tomorrow evening,<\/a> featuring Dave the Butcher, whom I met at Avedano&#8217;s. And the other is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eatrealfest.com\/guidedforagingwalk\">an urban foraging walk in San Francisco<\/a>, under the auspices of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eatrealfest.com\/\">Eat Real Festival,<\/a> which is next weekend.
