I schlepped down to the Post Office to pick it up, and I was surprised to see that it was a package from the Santa Clara Valley Water District. For me! <\/p>\n<p>I open it up, and it&#8217;s the Response to Comments for the Final Environmental Impact Report of the Alviso Slough Restoration Project. It&#8217;s 190 pages long, with a color cover. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2745\/4057601064_88ab141cb0_b.jpg\" title=\"FEIR\/RTC by dianafoss, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2745\/4057601064_88ab141cb0.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"FEIR\/RTC\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Did I comment on this project? Why yes, I did, back in July of last year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2610\/4057601296_e1b2a996e5.jpg\", width=400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Short and to the point. Of course, is it going to do any good?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2616\/4057601490_f9ee9c9da2.jpg\", width=400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Who knows? But this isn&#8217;t the outrageous thing. Remember that this was sent certified. Go back and click on the first image and see the postmark. The District spent <b>$10.05<\/b> to send this thing to me, and every other person who commented. And how much did it cost to print them? Haven&#8217;t these people heard of PDFs and email?
