Last night’s candidate forum was well-attended, although I would have loved to have gone first, before all of the Shirakawa supporters left. I had good conversations with neighbors, and I’m happy with how I presented myself and my issues with the SCVWD Board.<\/p>\n
Scott Herhold has a column<\/a> in today’s Mercury<\/i> (unfortunately with HTML formatting errors as of this writing, although it’s still readable) about the boating ban on District reservoirs. He seems a bit grudging about the threat the mussels pose, and doesn’t mention the fact that the ban is only in place until the inspection program starts. <\/p>\n And, while I’m linking, the LA Times<\/i> reports<\/a> that the city of Los Angeles is planning a mammoth water conservation program, including water use restrictions, groundwater cleanup and groundwater recharge using recycled water.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
