Artichoke
I’ll justify it by saying that they’re named after a vegetable, but I want to tell the world about my favorite band, Artichoke. I’ve been listening to the new CD 26 Scientists, Vol. 2 (Newton – Zeno) almost nonstop in the car for the past two weeks, and I love every song on it. Timothy Sellers writes incredibly clever lyrics, with infectious melodies and surprising rhythms. It’s certainly the sort of thing you’ll like if you like that sort of thing. I’m no better at dancing about architecture than I am at food styling, but if you enjoy melodic, intelligent pop-rock music, then I urge you to check it out.
ObLocalFood: I’m making ratatouille tonight with an eggplant and garlic from the Willow Glen farmers market, tomatoes from my garden, and dried zucchini and basil from the CSA box.
